Application Period for Women’s Board Grants for the 2024-2025 Academic Year
Please read this page carefully as THE APPLICATION AND TIMELINE HAVE CHANGED for the 2024-2025 grants process.
In an effort to streamline the application process, all grant requests will now begin with the submission of a brief Letter of Intent (LOI). All LOIs are due by 5:00pm Friday, February 9, 2024.

LOIs will be reviewed by members of Women’s Board and a short-list of applicants will be invited to submit a full grant proposal. All applicants will be notified by Friday, March 15, about their status. Shortlisted applicants will have six weeks to complete their full proposals, including a letter of endorsement, and all materials are due by Friday, April 26th.
Note: The full proposal form will be available by Friday, January 26, 2024.
Please note that applicants will no longer need to submit a 5-min video with their full proposals.
The Grants Committee (a group of approximately 20 Women’s Board members) will review and evaluate the full proposals. All applicants will be asked to schedule a 10-15 minute in-person Q&A session with the Grants Committee on May 16th or May 17th. Award announcements will be made by Friday, May 24, 2024.
The University of Chicago Women’s Board Grant Fund Timeline for the 2024-2025 academic year is as follows:
- Friday, February 9, 2024: Deadline for the Letter of Intent (LOI), the brief preliminary funding request.
- Friday, March 15, 2024: By this date, all applicants will be informed of their LOI status, and if they are invited to submit a full application for their grant request.
- Friday, April 26, 2024: Deadline for full application submissions for the 2024-2015 academic year.
- Thursday, May 16 and Friday May 17, 2024: Q&A sessions for all full applications (in-person) will take place.
- Friday, May 24, 2024: By this date, Grant Committee deliberations will conclude, and all applicants will be informed of their status.
- Friday, June 28, 2024: By this date, all grant winners must complete the acceptance form to receive funding.
- September 2024: Funding is distributed to awardees.
