You’re invited to join John W. Boyer, AM’69, PhD’75, for a conversation celebrating the second edition of his book The University of Chicago: A History. John W. Boyer, senior advisor to the president and the Martin A. Ryerson Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of History, was Dean of the College from 1992 to 2023. At this special Women’s Board event, he will discuss the University’s history of civic engagement, its relationship with the surrounding communities, and its role within the greater city of Chicago.
